Achievements:
Andrew is CEO of Shirlaws Pty Ltd, a national firm of professional business coaches who work with firms across many industry sectors on their strategy development, revenue generation and productivity enhancement.

Andrew’s business career has an entrepreneurial and business development focus in both product and services industries. His career appointments include National Sales Manager and State Manager, Comcater (importer and distributor); Founder and CEO, Mackenzie Deane (project management, health care sector); Business Coach, Shirlaws Pty Ltd; Founder and CEO, Shirlaws NZ Ltd (business coaching).

In his consulting experience, Andrew has worked with businesses including IBM, Reckon, Skandia, St George Bank, AMP as well as hundreds of smaller to mid-size companies, to dramatically help them improve their commercial performance as well as their cultural objectives.

Andrew is a Director of the not for profit Darlinghurst Theatre Company, which is a development ground for theatre and acting skills.  He has also played an active role in the company, including the establishment of its current theatre premises.

Andrew brings an enormous amount of energy and passion to everything he does. He operates on three simple rules when working in business, "be happy to make the harder choice", "say what needs to be said" and "there is no substitute for working smart and disciplined".  A great attribute to have when things get tough in the business world is to have a sense of humour and to put things into perspective.

He has two daughters aged 7 and 8 and they are teaching him even more lessons in life with such beautiful brutal honesty. "The child in us all needs to come to work more often".

The best achievement in business was self funding the start up of a now successful business in a new country from scratch, however he does not recommend it for the faint hearted.

Best advice ever received:
