The CEO Institute appoints experienced chairman Ian Klug to lead syndicate of Queensland CEOs

BRISBANE - Company directory Ian Klug has been appointed by The CEO Institute (Qld) to provide leadership guidance and peer support for its members.

Sue Forrester, CEO of The CEO Institute (Qld), said Mr Klug was sought out as a perfect match to lead one of the Institute's syndicates, who members include the heads of $200 million-plus companies, state heads of major national not-for-profit organisations and a university vice-chancellor.

Ms Forrester said Mr Klug's experience as a partner of a national acounting firm, as well as chairman and director of Brisbane Marketing and several medium sized organisations, would be invaluable for members.

"Ian's collaborative facilitation skills and expertise as a chairman will bring out the best in The CEO Institute syndicate he has been chosen to lead," she said.

Mr Klug retired from chartered accountancy firm Pitcher Partners, after 19 years as a partner, to consult and pursue private interests. He has more than 28 years experience as a chartered accountant in professional practice in the areas of business management and consulting, strategic planning, taxation and board representation.

He is Chairman of Brisbane Marketing, a director of the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts and a member of the Lord Mayor's Business Round Table.

"I'm looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to work with the CEOs of a diverse range of Queensland companies," Mr Klug said.
