Julie Garland McLellan is Chairman of ASX-listed Oldfields Holdings, a non-executive Director of Bounty Mining, Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises and Tamar Gold. Prior to her board career, Julie was Managing Director of Gamesa Energy Australia, General Manager Energy and Natual Resources for KPMG and a Corporate Planner for BHP.

Julie has a degree in Civil Engineering, an executive MBA, a diploma and an advanced diploma in company directorship.

Julie is a practicing company director with experience on a range of not-for profit, public sector and commercial boards. She is a former council member for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has also written and presented many of their courses.

She has been internationally acclaimed as a leading expert on board governance. She is the author of Dilemmas, Dilemmas: practical case studies for company directors and All Above Board: Great Governance for the Government Sector and a frequent contributor to governance conferences and publications.

Her newsletter, The Director's Dilemma is read in 32 different countries around the world.

She assists boards to develop and implement strategies for success across the range of financial, societal and environmental measures. At a time when society is questioning the ethics of corporations and the applicability of corporate structures to good governance, Julie is uniquely qualified to comment on the practices that effective boards use to ensure that outcomes are optimised.
