Achievements:
Neville started his first three micro-businesses aged 12 while still full-time at school. To date he has built 44 businesses of his own from scratch – all but two of which have been successful. In addition, over 55 active years, Neville’s been involved in the growth of literally hundreds of other businesses.

Neville's business experience ranges from starts up, to high growth entrepreneurial companies, to mature organizations. He has been CEO, director and business mentor of lo-tech, to high-tech, to no-tech businesses. His business experience encompasses 40 different industries, and many companies sitting astride multiple industries. He has chaired or directed start-ups, advisory boards, social and community boards, and IPOs through all phases.

In addition, as a former CEO, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, venture manager, financer, and opportunity-creator, Neville Christie has a long and proven track record of growing companies, opportunities, resources and people.

Apart from his role in building the fast-growth independent digital media company, Destra Corporation Limited, one of Neville’s most enjoyable and fruitful roles was building Bristol Paints and Decorator Centres into a privately-owned chain of 86 decorator centres with over 32% of the domestic paint market.

He also helped set up, and chaired for many years, The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Caulfield Institute, now Monash University.

Neville has attended three of Melbourne’s Universities, and has four academic qualifications. He is a published author with five books to his credit.

In brief, Neville sees himself as a grower of ideas, people and businesses – 10 by 10 by 10. He describes himself as a life-long learner, who enjoys seeing people and business grow, and sharing in their success.

Best advice ever received:

There are two types of know-how – that which you know already, and that which you know how to find out.

Of the two, the second is the more important.
